Fundraising then and now

Thank You to all those families who helped with our recent Bunnings Cake Stall. We had a very successful day on Mother’s Day, selling all the wonderful cakes that were donated or made by members of our group in a mammoth bake-off at our hall.

And here’s a photo from the 1980s when Scouts ran Lamington Drives instead, and the lamingtons were made at the hall by leaders, parents and youth.
Some things change, some stay the same…

Our Leaders recieve Service Awards

Two of our valued leaders, Jeanette Frost and Rex Willard were honoured last week at the Region Awards Dinner.

Both these leaders were awarded¬† the Special Service Award which is presented to adult Members for the successful support, development or management of a section or formation. The awards were announced on World Scout Day as part of The Scout Association’s observance of the founding of Scouting at the first Scout Camp held at Brownsea Island in the UK on 1 August 1907.

Congratulations to Jeanette and Rex on such a great achievement.

While camping at Agoonoree our Cubs took a moment to have their photo taken in a tree which the group has visited many times before. Nushka found this pic from 2005.
Can you recognise any of the faces?
