Even though we can’t meet in person,
Toongabbie have found ways to keep up our Scouting.

We are combining technology like Zoom meetings, with our Challenges to give our youth and their families some fun and support during these difficult times.

Commencement Dates Term 1: 2020

Our Group is ready for another BIG Scouting Year. Our sections return as follows:

Monday 3rd February, 7PM – Cubs (8 -11 Years)

Tuesday 4th February,  6.15pm – Joeys (5-8 Years)

Thursday 6th February, 7pm – Scouts (11-14 Years)

Friday 7th February, 7.30pm – Venturers (14-18 Years)

Featured are cubs from the Combined Blue Mts and Blacktown District Pack. Toongabbie Cubs were first introduced to the tree about 15 years ago when a Youth helper ran a Scouts own with us all sitting in its branches. There’s something truly magical about it and it always delights the kids.

All set for the new term?

We are poised and ready to get into some fun:

Cubs next Monday 4th Feb
Joeys Tuesday 5th
Scouts next Thursday 7th
and next Friday 8th we are going to try to start a new section of Venturers

Gateway Competition Success

The Gateway made by our Scouts earned 2nd place in the
‘Non-traditional’ Category at the Region Jamborette on the Long Weekend.

Cubs sleep on the James Craig

Our pack joined with 1st and 2nd Kings Langley for a fun overnight program on the James Craig.

We learned about life on a Tall Ship, practiced our knotting skills and slept in hammocks.
A real adventure on the calm seas of Darling Harbour.

Cubs visit The Bower

Our Pack visited The Bower – Reuse & Repair Centre, Parramatta.
to learn about ways to care for our environment and our belongings.This has been part of activities focussed on our Community and the Natural Environment.

And we were allowed to use power tools!
